If you are are on a Medicare Advantage Plan you still have until February 15^th to switch back to original Medicare A&B.This will allow you to then purchase a Medicare Supplement Plan,or Medigap Plan. Medicare has set up an Open Enrollment period between January 1^st and February 15^th to do this.If you are on a Medicare Advantage Plan and are unhappy with it,have moved out of the coverage area,or you doctor doesn’t accept the plan anylonger,then during this period,Medicare allows you to get off the plan. The easiest way to do this is to enroll in a stand alone prescription plan(Part D),this kicks you off the Medicare Advantage Plan.
